<h2>Overview</h2> <p>Are you a <strong>Marine Engineer</strong> with <strong>3 years of experience</strong> looking for their next challenge?&nbsp;If so, our team in Washington, DC is looking for individuals to help support the United States Coast Guard and our Ship Design Group!</p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <p>As a <strong>Journeyman Marine Engineer</strong>,​ you will have the opportunity to do the following:</p> <ul> <li>Assist Senior Mechanical Engineers in design, development, and evaluation of the operation of marine vessels, ship machinery, and related equipment.</li> <li>Support the US Coast Guard by reviewing third party design modifications.</li> <li>Help with performing design reviews, evaluating constructability.</li> <li>Help resolve technical issues, and managing information generated through the design and construction phase.</li> <li>Conduct marine engineering analysis.</li> <li>Create graphical representations of structures and systems.</li> <li>Inspect ship equipment or systems.</li> <li>Research advanced engineering designs or applications.</li> <li>Help prepare technical reports.</li> </ul> <p><strong>THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION; 4 DAYS PER WEEK IN OFFICE, 1 DAY REMOTE</strong></p> <p>#LI-EW1</p> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering</li> <li>Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance</li> <li><strong>At least 3+ years of experience in:</strong>Marine Systems engineering</li> <li><strong>At least 1 year of experience in:</strong>Working with Microsoft office suiteExperience with Auto-CAD</li> </ul> <h2>Pay Transparency Statement</h2>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $85,000.00/Yr. - USD $95,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
