<p>SSOE is seeking an experienced, highly analytical and collaborative <strong>Project Controller III </strong>to support our <strong>Architecture Practice Group</strong>. In this role, you will partner closely with Project Managers, Architects, Design Leaders, and Practice Leadership to help drive the financial and operational success of a diverse portfolio of architectural projects.</p>
<p>The Project Controller serves as a trusted business partner throughout the project lifecycle, supporting project planning, budgeting, forecasting, resource utilization, cost management, and performance reporting. This position plays a critical role in helping project teams make informed decisions that improve project delivery, profitability, and client outcomes. <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
<li>Partner with Project Managers, Architects, and Practice Leadership to monitor project financial performance, profitability, resource utilization, and delivery metrics.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and performance analyses to support informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.</li>
<li>Monitor project costs, schedules, earned revenue, backlog, and key performance indicators, proactively identifying risks, trends, and opportunities.</li>
<li>Prepare and present project performance dashboards, forecasts, and reports for project teams and leadership.</li>
<li>Facilitate project setup activities, including budget development, cost tracking structures, forecasting models, and reporting requirements.</li>
<li>Collaborate with project teams to evaluate scope changes, project impacts, and corrective actions to support project objectives.</li>
<li>Support monthly project reviews and provide recommendations to improve project execution, efficiency, and financial outcomes.</li>
<li>Analyze project schedules and resource plans to identify opportunities to improve workload balancing and delivery performance.</li>
<li>Contribute to the development and enhancement of project controls processes, standards, reporting systems, and best practices.</li>
<li>Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced project controls team members as needed.</li>
<li>Support business development activities through project controls input on proposals, estimates, and client presentations.</li>
<li>Travel as required.</li>

<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<p><strong>Required</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.</li>
<li>Seven (7) or more years of experience in project controls, project accounting, project financial management, project management support, or related disciplines.</li>
<li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project performance reporting.</li>
<li>Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.</li>
<li>Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience supporting architecture, engineering, consulting, or other professional services organizations.</li>
<li>Experience with project financial metrics including budgeting, forecasting, backlog, revenue recognition, utilization, and profitability analysis.</li>
<li>Proficiency with Deltek Vantagepoint/Vision, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Power BI, or similar project management and reporting tools.</li>
<li>Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Certified Cost Engineer (CCE), or other related certification.</li>
<li>Experience developing dashboards, metrics, and reporting tools that support business decision-making.</li>
