<p>Brunner Island power plant in York Haven Pennsylvania has an opportunity available for position Coal Equipment Operator Level II.</p><p></p><p>DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Duties include but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>Determines amount of coal to be placed in bunkers and informs proper associate.</li><li>Observes continuous travel of material; recognizes and removes foreign material and prevents blocking of conveyor.</li><li>Regulates the flow of coal into proper bunkers by operating such regulating equipment as: conveyors, regulator gates, stacker belts, tripper, crushers, screens, magnetic pulleys and other auxiliary equipment.</li><li>Examines and checks conveyor belt alignment, idlers and belt pulleys.</li><li>Keeps necessary records, such as: name of shipper, car number, weight and whether coal is stored or used immediately.</li><li>Makes necessary adjustments and maintains equipment in service.</li><li>Reports need for, and assists with, major repair work.</li><li>Cleans and lubricates conveyor and regulating equipment, such as: belt scrappers, conveyor motors, drive shaft bearings, conveyor belt rollers, vibrator shaker screens, speed switches, etc.</li><li>Records the weight of various types of fuel and other necessary data and assists in keeping required tests, such as scale tests.</li><li>Makes up trains in accordance with existing local practice.</li><li>Fuels, lubricates and keeps equipment clean.</li><li>Assists in cleaning, lubrication and running repairs to equipment.</li><li>Assists in spotting cars in thaw shed or on dumper when needed.</li><li>Directs train crew or yard crew as to kind and amount of fuel needed.</li><li>Operates car shake-out by means of electric controls when required.</li><li>Operates small dozer on grizzly to break up frozen chunks of coal and/or to clean grizzly off of buildup of coal.</li><li>Operates and monitors dust suppression system when dumping cars.</li><li>Keeps record of rail cars received and dumped.</li><li>Operates bulldozers, hydroseeders and similar equipment.</li><li>Perform janitor work in yard service building.</li><li>Performs automatic or manual coal sampling at the car dumper and tripper floor.</li><li>As directed, samples composites, prepares transmittals, labels and documents for car samples.</li><li>Performs Coal Equipment Operator I and other related duties as assigned or as necessary.</li></ul><p><br />MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:</p><ul><li>Must be able to meet medical screening requirements to pass respirator fit and use.</li><li>Sufficient manual skill and dexterity to operate equipment and make minor adjustments to keep equipment operating properly.</li><li>Intelligence, adequate to observe conditions, learn methods and follow written and verbal instructions.</li><li>Where applicable, adequate experience in the operation of moving equipment and working knowledge of the equipment, including lubrication and maintenance procedures.</li><li>As required, be able to obtain a current Pennsylvania Class II operator's license.</li><li>Initiative and dependability.</li><li>Alertness in observation of hazards and prevention of accidents.</li><li>Thorough knowledge of safety rules applicable to work performed.</li><li>Cooperation with associates.</li><li>Ability to work in adverse weather conditions when needed.</li><li>Successful completion of Skilled Trades selection test.</li></ul><p style="text-align:left"><b>Note: </b><span>You will have an opportunity to add attachments to your application.
