<p>Talen Energy is soliciting candidates interested in filling the position of Drafter Level I or Drafter Level II position at the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station located near Berwick, Pennsylvania. </p><p>Susquehanna Steam Electric Station, one of the largest dual-unit, Boiling Water Reactor sites in the U.S., delivers approximately 2700 MW of electricity to the grid in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Apply today and become part of the team which is helping to shape the future of electricity generation.</p><p></p><p><i><u><b>Drafter Level I</b></u></i></p><p><b>DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: </b>Duties include but are not limited to:</p><p>1. Working from verbal or written instructions or rough sketches, make layout and preliminary "study" drawings, layout and detail engineering projects in the assigned discipline (electrical, mechanical, civil/structural, distribution) from designs developed by engineers or drafters of a higher classifications.</p><p>2. Using the appropriate tools and equipment, including computer-assisted drafting equipment, develop and prepare neat, accurate and legible detailed engineering drawings of an elementary nature involving basic design work.</p><p>3. Assist Drafters of a higher classification in developing and presenting design details to engineering personnel in an intelligible manner.</p><p>4. Assist in obtaining field data needed for the development of design drawings.</p><p>5. Assist employees of other classifications, as assigned.</p><p>6. Perform other related duties as assigned or as necessary.</p><p></p><p><b>MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:</b></p><p>1. High school graduate or equivalent, supplemented by successful completion of a high school vocational-technical curriculum in Drafting or two semesters of college drafting, and successful completion of a Basic Math Skills course which includes geometry and trigonometry. An alternative to these requirements is successful completion of the Written Entry Level Qualification Examination to demonstrate these skills.</p><p>2. Successful completion of that portion of the Entry Level Qualification Examination that demonstrates the ability to interpret drawings and visualize the physical form of the object portrayed.</p><p>3. Ability to draw and letter neatly and efficiently as demonstrated by examples.</p><p>4. General knowledge and experience in the use of various drafting instruments and equipment. Knowledge and experience in the use of a computer and computer assisted drafting equipment is desirable.</p><p>5. Valid Pennsylvania motor vehicle operator's license.</p><p>6. Ability to obtain/maintain SSES unescorted access (Nuclear only).</p><p>7. Compliance with Fitness for Duty Regulations (Nuclear only).</p><p></p><p><b>JOB PERFORMANCE:</b></p><p>Performance is satisfactory when:</p><p>1. Performs work in accordance with safety rules established by the company and those set forth in the various applicable codes and regulations pertaining to the work performed.</p><p>2. Line work, lettering and layout of drawings is of a quality to produce clean, clear, legible reproductions.</p><p>3. Completes assignments as scheduled and within the estimated time.</p><p>4. Demonstrates continued improvement in the quality and performance of work.</p><p>5. Understands and carries out instructions in an efficient manner.</p><p>6. Completes work in a neat, orderly and efficient manner.</p><p>7. Works with others in a cooperative manner.</p><p>8. Maintains a neat, clean work area and is neat in appearance and dress.</p><p>9. Follows instructions and learns methods, codes, regulations and safety rules.</p><p>10. Successfully completes courses and training as required by the department to perform Drafter Level I duties.</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><u><i><b>Drafter Level II</b></i></u></p><p></p><p><b>DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: </b>Duties include but are not limited to:</p><p>1.Working from written or verbal instructions or rough sketches, independently develop design work in the assigned discipline (electrical, mechanical, civil/structural, distribution), requiring a fundamental knowledge of mathematics and engineering.</p><p>2.Obtain or assist in obtaining field data for development of design drawings; and int he calculations on design work of a moderately complex and technical nature.</p><p>3.Using the appropriate tools and equipment, including computer-assisted drafting equipment, prepare for engineering projects of a moderately complex nature, complete design and detail drawings conforming to the company's standards and develop accompanying bills of material.</p><p>4.Assist employees of other classifications, as assigned.</p><p>5.Review the work of other drafters, as assigned.</p><p>6.Perform other related duties, as assigned or as required.</p><p></p><p><b>MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: </b></p><p>1.Satisfactory performance as a Drafter Level I.</p><p>2.Minimum of two and one-half years experience as a Drafter Level I.</p><p>3.Thorough proficiency in drawing and lettering.</p><p>4.Ability to use drafting calculating and computer equipment, including the use of computer assisted drafting to create drawings.</p><p>5. Thorough knowledge of company and manufacturer standards and specifications.</p><p>6. Valid Pennsylvania motor vehicle operator's license.</p><p>7. Ability to obtain/maintain SSES unescorted access (Nuclear only).</p><p>8.
