This role’s responsibilities include overseeing and optimizing revenue recognition practices ensuring compliance with accounting standards and driving financial accuracy.<p></p><p><b>*Candidates must have revenue recognition experience in a multinational firm with over 7,000 employees to be considered for this position, as well as a CPA designation, and leadership skills. We also need a candidate with billing implementation experience (Billing Platform preferred).*</b></p><p></p><p><b>Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results</b></p><p><b>People:</b></p><ul><li><p>Creates a positive team experience.</p></li><li><p>Provides leadership and guidance to global team to ensure all revenue cycle activities are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements and meet deadlines.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Client:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Drives timely revenue close, prepare reports, and presents results to leadership during regularly scheduled meetings.</p></li><li><p>Oversees and provides revenue recognition analysis and reporting for month end close process.</p></li><li><p>Ensures compliance with and maintain documentation related to revenue recognition policies and standards.</p></li><li><p>Analyzes enterprise-wide revenue cycle trends and provides insight into strategic implications.</p></li><li><p>Interfaces with Principals and Managers related to client contracts, billing requirements, revenue recognition, and customer account collections.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Value:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Provides detailed insight into revenue fluctuations, investigating transactional drivers between forecasted revenue and actuals; works closely with billing operations and service delivery on root cause.</p></li><li><p>Timely identifies and<span> problem solves</span> issues as they <span>arise and escalate as needed.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Continuously<span> </span>monitors<span> </span>and<span> </span>enhances<span> </span>billing,<span> </span>collections,<span> </span>and<span> </span>other<span> </span>revenue<span> </span>cycle<span> </span>functions<span> </span>to<span> </span>optimize<span> </span>performance. </span></p></li><li><p>Develops and implements policies and procedures for order to cash activities that are compliant with regulatory and organizational guidelines.</p></li><li><p>Participates in process and system reviews and improvements, including integration of acquired entities and alignment of policies and procedures.</p></li><li><p>Actively monitors compliance with revenue recognition policies to ensure compliance with GAAP and ASC 606.</p></li><li><p>Assists with other projects as needed and other assigned duties.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Education/Experience:</span></b></p><p>Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent with at least 10+ years of Accounting and Management experience. Other experience includes:</p><ul><li><p>Revenue <span>recognition with strong knowledge of ASC 606, variable consideration experience a plus.</span></p></li><li><p>Revenue/billing system implementation experience, Billing Platform preferred.</p></li><li><p>Workday Finance Platform experience a plus.</p></li><li><p>Large company and SOX experience required.</p></li><li><p>Public company experience <span>preferred.</span></p></li><li><p>Executive presence, able to influence senior <span>leaders.</span></p></li><li><p>Knowledge of accounting across multiple currencies and <span>jurisdictions.</span></p></li><li><p>Excellent professional written and oral communication skills, keen attention to <span>detail with strong decision making and analytical mindset.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Computer Skills: </span></b></p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate skills in Microsoft® Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, exposure to accounting and billing systems, and internet <span>navigation/research.</span></p><p></p><p><b><span>Certificates and Licenses: </span></b></p><p>Certified Public Accountant license required.</p><p>Valid driver’s license required.</p><p></p><p><b><span>Supervisory Responsibilities: </span></b></p><p>Directly supervises employees in the Finance Department. <span>Needs to have strong leadership abilities and presence.<span> </span>Carries<span> </span>out<span> </span>supervisory<span> </span>responsibilities<span> </span>in<span> </span>accordance<span> </span>with<span> </span>the<span> </span>Firm’s<span> </span>policies<span> </span>and applicable laws.</span></p><p></p><p><b><span>Work Environment:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Standard indoor working environment.</p></li><li><p>Long periods of sitting while working at computer.</p></li><li><p>Occasional long periods of standing.</p></li><li><p>Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm; Interface with external vendors also necessary.</p></li><li><p>Independent travel requirement: Less than 10%.</p></li></ul><p><br /><i><span>Equal Opportunity Employer: disability/veteran</span></i></p><p></p><p><i><span>#LI-JS1</span></i></p>
