<p style="text-align:left"><b>Job Family Group:</b></p>Staff<p style="text-align:left">Department/Office:</p>Assistant Director for Buildings & Grounds<p style="text-align:left">Time Type:</p>Full time<p style="text-align:left">Compensation:</p>$26.93-$33.66<p style="text-align:left"><i>Please note, starting salaries are based on factors including internal equity, relevant experience, and education.</i></p><p style="text-align:left">Exemption Status:</p>Non-Exempt<p style="text-align:left"><b>Job Description: </b></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>Responds to service requests, emergency service calls, expected to maintain positive customer relationships at all times, and has an in-depth knowledge of the ALC platform.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"> </p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b>JOB DUTIES</b></p><div><ul><li><p><span>Troubleshoots and repairs building automation system field cabinets, including communications equipment, printed circuit boards, power supplies, electrical/electronic controls, sensors, and transducers.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Troubleshoots, repairs, or coordinates repair of building automation equipment.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Writes and debugs computer programs for the building automation system such as energy consumption reports and utility distribution reports.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Coordinates university and contractor’s personnel for additions and modifications of the building automation system, as needed.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Monitors work in progress and job costs on building automation systems.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Assists in the design and implementation of various building automation hardware and computer software systems.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Prepares drawings and diagrams of system additions or revisions after installation.</span></p></li></ul></div><p></p><p><b><b>EDUCATION </b></b></p><p><span>Required:</span></p><ul><li><p><span>High School Diploma or GED.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><span>Preferred:</span></p><ul><li><p><span>Formal OJT or Apprentice Program.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Completion of a two year vocational training program or apprenticeship training program in related HVAC field.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>EXPERIENCE </b></b></p><p><span>Required:</span></p><ul><li><p><span>Minimum 10 years field experience in the HVAC controls industry including DDC systems commissioning, software integration operation, calibration and experience with pneumatic controls.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES </b></b></p><p><span>Required:</span></p><ul><li><p><span>Ability to handle multiple priorities.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><span>Preferred:</span></p><ul><li><p><span>Advanced knowledge of Automated Logic commissioning tools and field circuit troubleshooting skills. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Understanding of the construction industry with emphasis in mechanical/electrical fields.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong communication, organizational, documentation, and problem solving skills.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Competency in Networking TCP/IP, MSTP protocols, within Modbus, LON, and BACnet applications.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS </b></b></p><p><span>Required:</span></p><ul><li><p><span>Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and have a good driving history. May not have more than two moving violations in a three-year period.</span></p></li></ul>
