<p>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.</p>
<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
<li>Support all phases of the system lifecycle, from concept to retirement</li>
<li>Root cause analysis of system/component issues and/or failure</li>
<li>Researching and reviewing ship’s structural and electrical drawings to support system integration</li>
<li>2D and 3D modeling design and drafting of mechanical and electrical assemblies</li>
<li>Prototyping</li>
<li>Inspection and acceptance of material received from procurement or fabrication</li>
<li>Factory acceptance testing</li>
<li>Support all aspects of technical data package (TDP) development (i.e., Temporary Alterations = TEMPALT)</li>
<li>Draft forwarding letters and process flow checklists</li>
<li>Ship check and fit check of submarines</li>
<li>Support all aspects of system testing and documentation, including but not limited to:
<ul>
<li>electromagnetic interference (EMI)/electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)</li>
<li>cybersecurity/information assurance</li>
</ul></li>
<li>Support fleet troubleshooting efforts</li>
<li>Support the creation of departures from specification (DFS)</li>
<li>Engage with traditional and Agile project management processes and systems engineering processes</li>
<li>Identify and remove obstacles in the workflow</li>
<li>Support with presentations and briefs to stakeholders</li>
</ul>
<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
<li><strong>Have an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a </strong><strong>Secret security clearance (US Citizenship).</strong></li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong>Minimum of 3 years of experience in Electrical Engineering related to submarine system development, system integration, or alteration development.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Linux, C/C++</strong></li>
<li>Intermediate/Advanced in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal and listening skills; Team player</li>
<li>Ability to meet deadlines on assigned tasks and responsibilities</li>
<li>Multi-task oriented and capable of prioritizing.</li>

<h2>Pay Transparency Statement</h2>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $95,000.00/Yr. - USD $120,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
