<p>As our next Systems Adminsitrator for <strong>NAVAIR,</strong> you'll collaborate with talented professionals to create innovative, mission-critical solutions that empower naval aviation and defense operations. Your expertise will help shape cutting-edge systems, enhance national security, and drive technological advancement for our nation.</p>
<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
<li>Provide engineering solutions for various and unique problem sets and customers in a government software hosting facility.</li>
<li>Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, to include virtual machines and containers.</li>
<li>Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes to various physical and virtual hosts.</li>
<li>Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues on servers, workstations, and IT equipment.</li>
<li>Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.</li>
<li>Manage user accounts and permissions.</li>
<li>Deploy and maintain software applications.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot technical issues.</li>
<li>Maintain documentation to include knowledge base, incident response actions, system configurations, and other information related to system administration.</li>
<li>Provide technical support to customers, ranging from resolving technical issues to providing guidance and best-practices.</li>
<li>Secure information systems and applications to current DoD guidance</li>
<li>Maintain configuration and security posture of information systems through continuous monitoring and routine security events/reporting.</li>
<li>Participate in project planning using Agile methodology.</li>
<li>Provide networking support to on-premises infrastructure.</li>
<li>Understanding and familiarity of Linux operating system and virtual networking.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
<li>Active <strong>Secret </strong>with ability to obtain Top Secret (interim to start). Must be a U.S. Citizen</li>
<li>Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance experience preferred (example: scanning and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) execution)</li>
<li>CompTIA Sec+</li>
<li>Windows or Linux OS certification</li>
<li>ACAS Operator and Supervisor Course completion preferred (Certification must be within the 3 year active window)</li>
<li><strong>At least 5+ years of experience </strong></li>

<h2>Pay Transparency Statement</h2>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $86,000.00/Yr. - USD $137,600/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
