<p><strong>Symbria Rx Services</strong> is a <strong>P</strong><strong>harmacy Dispatcher</strong> to add to our growing team at our Pharmacy in <strong>Woodridge, IL.</strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p>The primary responsibility of the Dispatcher is to be the point of contact for the pharmacy employees, drivers, and client communities to ensure the time pick-up and delivery of pharmacy deliveries. Responsibilities include route support, overseeing STAT processes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, and problem-solving proof of deliveries. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of pharmacy operations are essential for success in this role. </p>

<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<p>• Coordinate the dispatching of pharmacy delivery drivers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of medications to customers and healthcare facilities.</p>
<p>• Manage emergency medication orders and urgent deliveries, prioritizing critical requests and communicating with pharmacies, drivers, and customers to ensure prompt resolution.</p>
<p>• Maintain and optimize delivery schedules to meet customer demand while maximizing efficiency and minimizing delivery times.</p>
<p>• Serve as the primary point of contact for pharmacy staff, delivery drivers, client communities, and external stakeholders, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and providing updates on delivery status.</p>
<p>• Maintain accurate records of delivery activities, including order details, delivery times, customer feedback, and incident reports. Track and prepare reporting on quality metrics.</p>
<p>• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of medication deliveries, address any discrepancies or concerns, and follow up with pharmacies and customers to confirm delivery satisfaction.</p>
<p>• Adhere to pharmacy regulations, safety protocols, and HIPAA guidelines in handling medication orders, delivery information, and customer data.</p>
<p>• Collaborate with pharmacy staff, dispatch team members, delivery drivers, and other departments to optimize workflow, resolve operational challenges, and improve overall service quality.</p>
<p>• Provide training and support to new dispatchers and delivery drivers, ensuring they understand protocols, procedures, and customer service expectations.</p>
<p>• Identify opportunities for process improvement, implement best practices, and contribute to the development of strategies to enhance dispatch operations and customer satisfaction.</p>
<p>• Any and all duties as assigned.</p>
<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<p><strong>To perform this job successfully, the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily is necessary and the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED). </li>
<li>Experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation, or a similar field; minimum one year experience. This could include roles such as dispatcher assistant, logistics coordinator, or related positions. </li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills needed to effectively communicate with drivers, clients, and other stakeholders. </li>
<li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage delivery schedules, track orders, and ensure accuracy in medication handling. </li>
<li>Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment, make independent decisions, maintain organization, prioritize, and multi-task. </li>
<li>Proficiency in using dispatching software, Microsoft knowledge, GPS systems, and other computer programs strongly recommended. </li>
<li>Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with pharmacy staff, customers, and delivery personnel. </li>
<li>Teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and contribute to a positive work environment. </li>
<li>Ability to work a flexible schedule as operational needs dictate, including nights, weekends, and holidays to support a 24-hour pharmacy operation. </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Additional education or certification in pharmacy technology or healthcare administration. </li>
<li>Prior experience in pharmacy operations, dispatching, logistics, or a related field is preferred, especially in a 24-hour environment. </li>
<li>Knowledge of pharmacy regulations, medication safety practices, and HIPAA compliance requirements. </li>
