The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hauling heavy equipment, strong driving skills, and attention to safety regulations. </div><div>Key Responsibilities: </div><div><ul><li>Safely operate and drive commercial vehicles. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Load, secure, and unload heavy equipment in compliance with safety regulations. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ensure that all cargo is properly secured and transported in accordance with DOT regulations. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and traffic laws. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Handle and transport hazardous materials safely and in compliance with regulations. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Operate tanker trucks when required. </li></ul></div><div>Qualifications: </div><div><ul><li>Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A preferred. Will also accept Class B. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in hauling heavy equipment. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are preferred. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Clean driving record with no major violations. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team. </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>Good communication and interpersonal skills. </li></ul></div><div>Working Conditions: </div><div><ul><li>Work is primarily performed on active construction job sites, including highways, roadways, and heavy civil infrastructure projects. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and dust. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Position requires walking, standing, climbing, bending, and lifting in a construction environment. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>May require extended work hours, early mornings, nights, weekends, and occasional holidays to meet project schedules. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Frequent interaction with heavy equipment, moving machinery, traffic, and construction hazards; strict adherence to safety protocols is required. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Travel between job sites may be required depending on project location. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all job sites. </li></ul></div><div> </div><div> </div><div>This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
