This role partners closely with Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Inventory Planning, and suppliers to identify, source, onboard, and supply service parts that meet delivery, quality, cost, and customer service objectives. In this position you will drive supplier performance and continuous improvement initiatives to minimize backorders, mitigate supply risk, and support customer satisfaction through proactive supplier and cross-functional collaboration. The position also evaluates supplier capabilities, negotiates commercial terms, and leads sourcing projects that enhance profitability, operational efficiency, and supply chain resiliency. </div><div> </div><div>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES </div><div><ul><li>Understand supplier capabilities and capacities to produce product in line with Polaris volume expectations. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Manage relationships and processes with suppliers to support timely delivery of product to the customer. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Support problem resolution discussions with suppliers & ensure the adequacy and timeliness of supplier corrective action plans. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Work with suppliers to resolve price and invoice discrepancies. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Identify and communicate internally any supplier concerns or opportunities. </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>Support supplier quality function to determine root cause, necessary containment and counter measure activities for quality related issues. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Meet regularly with Production sourcing teams to align on strategy and shared supplier relationships. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Manage assigned and establish new supplier relationships to ensure sufficient communication and alignment between the suppliers and Polaris.    </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Be a subject matter expert in supplier contracts and provide guidance and best practices to buyers in the execution of critical supply agreements and LTAs.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Identify and execute the implementation of cost reduction projects, supplier transitions, and tool transitions as assigned to improve regional spend, supplier relationships, tariff mitigation and for any other business needs.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Manage cost, schedule, technical, and drawing release status of assigned projects and lead corrective actions as required.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Co-create with buyers & execute on the multi-year vision for the commodity, considering input from the internal customers, purchasing goals, risk, future growth plans, and broader supply chain strategy.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Utilize tools like: fact-based negotiation, should cost modeling, and competitive market analysis to initiate cost reduction projects.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Establish and negotiate contractual commitments to ensure longer-term cost savings to meet departmental goals, as assigned.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Help support part shortages and delivery when necessary.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Perform cost analysis, and resolve pricing discrepancies to drive financial performance, as assigned.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Monitor and drive supplier performance for assigned categories to ensure suppliers are meeting Polaris requirements for quality and delivery. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Assist in the ongoing segmentation of the PG&A supplier base </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Initiate and manage quoting events and related activities for parts to supplier partners based on defined commodity strategy and propose supplier selections for assigned commodity.  </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE </div><div><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or technical area is required. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>2+ years sourcing or related experience. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ability to comprehend and integrate diverse strategies, ensuring seamless implementation and alignment with organizational goals.  </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>Ability to strategically plan and proactively identify risks in decision making.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Comfortable thriving in ambiguous environments with minimal guidance.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Excellent written & verbal communication within team and cross-functionally.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Highly organized and effective in managing multiple priorities and deadlines.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ability to professionally represent Polaris by developing productive working relationships with suppliers.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Fundamental knowledge of MAPICS MRP and web-based business systems desired.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experienced in presentation abilities, including PowerPoint development. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
