<p><strong>Overview</strong></p>
<p>The Senior Recruiter plays a key role in driving talent acquisition strategies to support the workforce needs of the construction industry. This position is responsible for managing full-cycle recruiting strategies for the field operations. Perform day-to-day recruiting activities associated with the sourcing, coordinating, screening, qualifying, interviewing, handling offers, and hiring candidates for open positions. Assist with all recruiting-related processes that will take new hires up to their first day and ensure a smooth transition into HR related onboarding. Will take other strategic direction from the Recruiting Manager as needed.</p>

<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Responsible for assisting with internal and external relationships tied to Cajun Industries' recruiting efforts</li>
<li>Work with Recruiting Manager in associated support activities such as organizing resumes, making calls, setting up interviews, performing associated data entry and recordkeeping work, pre-qualification activities, preparing offer letters, setting up testing and screenings, tracking candidate status in Cajun’s CMTS program, referrals, etc</li>
<li>Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and department heads to forecast hiring needs and develop sourcing strategies</li>
<li>Have an advanced knowledge and understanding of job descriptions for all Cajun crafts and work with managers to maintain and update these as necessary</li>
<li>Evaluate possible recruiting sources toward finding and attracting suitable, qualified candidates that fit the Cajun Industries culture</li>
<li>Actively source and recruit candidates through the appropriate methods – advertising, recruiters, job sites, career fairs, professional networks, social media, referrals, etc</li>
<li>Develop and maintain effective relationships with professional, industry, and social networks to source qualified candidates</li>
<li>Review and analyze resumes, applications, and qualifications to determine suitability</li>
<li>Actively pre-screen candidates</li>
<li>Schedule and coordinate interviews cooperatively with the hiring managers, and participate as necessary and/or where recruiters can add value</li>
<li>Inform all candidates about Cajun Industries and the open position by selling Cajun features, advantages, and benefits to candidates throughout the process as may be appropriate</li>
<li>Take a lead role in evaluating candidates against Cajun Industries’ expectations</li>
<li>Brief and debrief candidates before and after interviews</li>
<li>Advise hiring managers on interviewing and on how they may best handle individual interviews</li>
<li>Conduct and verify references</li>
<li>Conduct and/or oversee pre-employment testing – technical and non-technical</li>
<li>Serve as the primary point person in the communications with candidates</li>
<li>Provide regular updates and feedback to the recruiting manager</li>
<li>Extend offers of employment within the company's timing and compensation parameters and work with the hiring manager on any negotiation processes</li>
<li>Maintain awareness of local labor market trends and competitor activity</li>
<li>Ensuring recruiting practices comply with federal, state, and local labor laws</li>
<li>Support internal audits and reporting related to hiring and compliance</li>
<li>Mentor recruiters and recruiting coordinators</li>
<li>Assist in developing and refining recruiting processes and tools</li>
<li>Lead or contribute to special projects such as onboarding improvements, recruitment marketing, or technology upgrades</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in HR or recruiting recruiting-related field is preferred; experience in lieu of degree will be considered</li>
<li>Two to five plus years of related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience</li>
<li>Experience in an industrial / construction setting is preferable </li>
<li>Must be familiar with heavy industrial construction crafts</li>
<li>Outstanding verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>Proven ability to source, attract, screen, and interview candidates with technical backgrounds</li>
<li>Computer literacy</li>
