This includes researching and analyzing federal, multi-state and local fuels tax issues, reconciling databases, and completing detailed calculations.<p><b>Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results</b></p><p><b>People:</b></p><ul><li>Create a positive team experience.</li></ul><p><b>Client:</b></p><ul><li>Conducts written and verbal communication with clients and others.</li></ul><p><b>Value:</b></p><ul><li>Researches and analyzes federal, multi-state and local fuels tax issues and communicates the analysis results to management.</li><li>Gathers data, enters data, and prepares fuels tax refund claims.</li><li>Works with data received in Microsoft® Access and Excel formats to prepare refund claims.</li><li>Pulls and copies invoice to support refund claims.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education and Experience: </b><br />Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Information Systems, Economics, <br />Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, <b>or </b>other degree w/ Masters in Business Discipline or JD. Must have 9 hours of Accounting or the ability to substitute technical courses for accounting hours with a 3.0 GPA or higher, and a Major GPA of 3.25 or higher. One to three years related accounting and auditing experience required.</p><p></p><p><b>Computer Skills: </b></p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook and Internet navigation and research.</p><p></p><p><b>Certificates and Licenses: </b></p><p>Valid driver’s license required.</p><p></p><p><b>Supervisory Responsibilities: </b></p><p>The position has no supervisory responsibilities.</p><p></p><p><b>Work Environment:</b><br />• Standard indoor working environment.<br />• Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.<br />• Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm in person and via e-mail and telephone.<br />• Position requires regular interaction with clients and interface with external vendors in person and via e-mail and telephone. <br />• Independent travel requirement: Up to 10-20%. <br /> </p><p></p><p><i><span>Equal Opportunity Employer: disability/veteran</span></i></p>
