The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. Role OverviewA hands-on Senior Software Engineer who can design and prototype solutions across multiple technology stacks, with a strong AI-native mindset.Key Requirements AI-Native Mindset & Agentic Tools<ul><li>Ability to use AI coding agents such as Devin and Claude Code efficiently</li><li>AI-native approach to software development and problem solving</li><li>Comfortable integrating AI tooling into everyday engineering workflows</li></ul> Backend – Java<ul><li>Hands-on experience with Java</li><li>Proficiency in Spring Boot and microservices architecture</li><li>Experience building RESTful APIs</li></ul> Frontend – Angular / React<ul><li>Hands-on experience with Angular and/or React</li><li>Experience integrating frontends with REST APIs</li></ul> Databases – Oracle / PostgreSQL<ul><li>Hands-on experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL</li><li>Strong SQL skills including query optimization and schema design</li></ul> Cloud – AWS / GCP<ul><li>Familiarity with AWS and/or GCP</li><li>Familiarity with cloud-native services, containers, and Kubernetes</li></ul> General<ul><li>Ability to design and prototype solutions across multiple tech stacks independently</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with a bias for delivery</li><li>Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)</li><li>Strong collaboration and communication skills</li></ul> Recommended Qualifications:<ul><li>7-11 years of relevant experience</li><li>Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications</li><li>Experience in managing and implementing successful projects</li><li>Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements</li></ul> Education:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience</li></ul> This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
