About This Role
<h2>Overview</h2>
<p>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. This position is on site, Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. -4:30 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at a medical system testing facility in Chantilly VA. </p>
<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
<li>Support engineering solutions and provide hands-on customer support</li>
<li>Engage face to face and virtually with end users on solving a variety of technical challenges</li>
<li>Coordinate with DHA system admin personnel to ensure that remotely provided services (e.g., SCCM, Active Directory, etc.) are properly configured and deployed.</li>
<li>Support AoAs in infrastructure modernization and automation</li>
<li>Serve as a stakeholder for hosting test events at a government medical testing lab</li>
<li>Verify conduct of patches, upgrades, and modifications of MS Windows and Linux systems</li>
<li>Establish and maintain procedural documentation and KB articles and share knowledge through training and mentorship of team members</li>
<li>Work with a team of driven, supportive and highly skilled professionals.</li>
<li>Support customer tickets in a lab environment</li>
<li>Account management and group policy experience using MS Active Directory</li>
<li>Analyze AD Group Policy Objects (GPO) and settings</li>
<li>Analyze ACAS scan results and interpret DoW STIGs in coordination with Cyber Security staff</li>
<li>Ability to prioritize and manage tasks to accomplish goals on a given timeline</li>
<li>Experience managing and mitigating system security risks</li>
<li>Virtualization experience using VMware / vSphere</li>
<li>Ability to provide general technical support for both hardware and software</li>
</ul>
<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
<li>U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance</li>
<li>Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 3 months</li>
<li>Familiarity with Cisco Systems including switches, and routers</li>
<li>2-4 years of experience in MS systems administration and working on complex systems and software programs and networks</li>
<li>Experience leading or supporting Analysis of Alternative (AoA) exercises</li>
<li>Experience working within a disciplined, process based SDLC</li>
<li>Experience in the DoW healthcare sector</li>
<li>vCenter experience</li>
<li>Excellent communications skills, including interacting with DoW customers, facility users, and facility support contractors.</li>
<li>Ability to prioritize and manage tasks to accomplish goals on a given timeline.</li>
<li>Ability to interpret, communicate, and apply operational and security procedures; ability to propose improvements to same.</li>
<li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with a team-oriented mindset and a high degree of integrity.</li>
<li>Experience with Jira/Confluence. </li>

<h2>Pay Transparency Statement</h2>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $75,000.00/Yr. - USD $90,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
