<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<p>Shawmut’s Mission Critical business is growing rapidly as we deliver complex, fast-paced projects for leading clients nationwide. <strong>The Business Manager – Mission Critical</strong> will serve as a trusted operational partner to the Head of Mission Critical and leadership team, translating business priorities into coordinated action.</p>
<h3>Coordinate Staffing and Workforce Deployment</h3>
<ul>
<li>Partner with leadership on staffing plans, hiring needs, employee assignments, project starts and completions, and workforce transitions.</li>
<li>Maintain visibility into employee deployment and proactively identify upcoming needs, conflicts, gaps, and risks.</li>
<li>Coordinate with Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Operations, and project leadership to support staffing decisions and successful employee transitions.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Own Employee Onboarding and Mobilization</h3>
<ul>
<li>Lead onboarding and acclimation for new employees, coordinating communications, administrative requirements, resources, travel, and project deployment.</li>
<li>Manage employee travel, lodging, relocation, and mobilization logistics while balancing project needs, employee experience, and cost.</li>
<li>Serve as a resource and escalation point for questions involving travel, expenses, timecards, relocation, and company processes.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Build Scalable Business Processes</h3>
<ul>
<li>Develop, document, and continuously improve processes for onboarding, travel, relocation, deployment, project transitions, and other recurring activities.</li>
<li>Identify operational gaps and implement solutions that improve consistency, efficiency, communication, and the employee experience.</li>
<li>Create scalable workflows, tools, and accountability measures, maintaining ownership of issues through resolution.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Drive Planning, Reporting, and Accountability</h3>
<ul>
<li>Maintain trackers, dashboards, and reporting related to staffing, hiring, pursuits, projects, and employee deployment.</li>
<li>Provide leadership with clear visibility into upcoming needs, trends, conflicts, and execution risks.</li>
<li>Support annual and quarterly planning, goal setting, progress tracking, briefing materials, and risk-mitigation plans.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Manage Leadership Operations and Communications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate weekly business reviews, leadership meetings, and quarterly planning sessions, including agendas, pre-reads, materials, and follow-up.</li>
<li>Support leadership calendars, meetings, travel, presentations, announcements, and team communications.</li>
<li>Document decisions and track commitments and action items to promote accountability and alignment.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Lead Cross-Functional and Strategic Initiatives</h3>
<ul>
<li>Serve as a trusted advisor to Mission Critical leadership and a key liaison with internal business partners.</li>
<li>Lead special projects and strategic initiatives by defining scope, coordinating resources, tracking progress, and driving work through completion.</li>
<li>Serve as a primary operational contact for project teams, coordinating administrative, logistical, equipment, and employee needs.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
<li>Five or more years of experience in construction, business operations, project coordination, or a related field; Mission Critical or data center experience is preferred.</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to support senior leaders and coordinate complex work across multiple teams, functions, and locations.</li>
<li>Strong organizational, project-management, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate needs and manage competing priorities.</li>
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business reporting tools, with the willingness to travel to project locations as needed.</li>

<h2>Salary Range Information</h2>
<p><strong>Boston Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000 </strong>The range stated is specific to Boston. Placement within the listed range depends on many factors including, but not limited to years of experience, project size capability (for Construction & Field roles) and internal company equity</p>
