About This Role
<h2>Overview</h2>
<p>Kimley-Horn is looking for Planning students to join our Charlotte, North Carolina (NC) office! This is not a remote position. </p>
<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
<li>Collect and analyze demographic, economic, and land use data.</li>
<li>Support the development of planning, transportation, economic development, and land use studies.</li>
<li>Create maps and prepare spatial analyses in ArcGIS Pro to support land use assessments.</li>
<li>Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.</li>
<li>Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.</li>
<li>Coordinate with various municipal and state agencies.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
<li>In the process of receiving a Planning Degree (Bachelors or Masters) from an accredited program in of the following majors:
<ul>
<li>City and Regional Planning </li>
<li>Urban Planning</li>
<li>Transportation Planning </li>
<li><em>Or Other Related Major</em></li>
</ul></li>
