Works independently with minimal guidance using knowledge of electrical engineering concepts. May provide guidance and direction to other Talen Energy employees to support production of high quality, timely and cost-effective engineering solutions to technical problems.</span></p><p></p><p><b><u><span>Primary Responsibilities:</span></u></b></p><p><span><span>·<span>         </span></span></span><span>Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs.</span></p><p><span><span>·<span>         </span></span></span><span>Develop and implement trending and monitoring plans for assigned systems/components to ensure safe reliable equipment performance.</span></p><p><span><span>·<span>         </span></span></span><span>Demonstrate ownership of assigned systems/components, and advocate for system performance improvement opportunities.</span></p><p><span><span>·<span>         </span></span></span><span>Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.</span></p><p><span><span>·<span>         </span></span></span><span>Uses existing procedures to investigate, evaluate and assist in producing technically correct and cost-effective designs or recommendations that solve ongoing problems.</span></p><p><span><span>·<span>         </span></span></span><span>Directly interface with other workgroups (i.e., Operations, Maintenance) and Station Leadership regarding system issues and improvement initiatives.</span></p><p><span><span>·<span>         </span></span></span><span>Build relationships that will facilitate knowledge transfer, cross functional knowledge of related work groups, and ability to present work products effectively.</span></p><p><span><span>·<span>         </span></span></span><span>Assists in a variety of topics including developing procedures, improved design recommendations or new or better equipment purchase recommendations.</span></p><p><span><span>·<span>         </span></span></span><span>Routinely review industry operating experience and collaborate with industry peers and forums and effectively apply &#39;lessons learned&#39; for improving system performance and reliability.</span></p><p></p><p><b><u><span>Basic Qualifications:</span></u></b></p><p></p><p><i><b><span>Engineer</span></b></i></p><p><span>BS Degree in Engineering</span></p><p><span>Individuals must meet nuclear requirements for Unescorted Plant Access.</span></p><p></p><p><i><b><span>Support Engineer</span></b></i></p><p><span>BS Degree in Engineering</span></p><p><span><span><span>​ </span></span></span><span>Minimum 2 years related engineering experience.</span></p><p><span>Individuals must meet nuclear requirements for Unescorted Plant Access.</span></p><p></p><p><i><b><span>Sr. Engineer</span></b></i></p><p><span>BS Degree in Engineering</span></p><p><span>Shall have at least five years of experience in engineering at a commercial nuclear reactor facility.</span></p><p><span>Individuals must meet nuclear requirements for Unescorted Plant Access.</span></p><p></p><p><b><u><span>Preferred Qualifications:</span></u></b></p><p><span>Working knowledge of Emergency Diesel Generators or electrical distribution systems</span></p><p><span>Previous commercial nuclear experience</span></p><p><span>Familiar with electrical design requirements for Nuclear Power plants is desired.</span></p><p><span>Professional Engineer Registration</span></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Note: </b><span>You will have an opportunity to add attachments to your application.
