<p>At MSA, we believe the best learning happens through teamwork, mentorship, and hands-on experience. We are looking for a <strong>Data Collection Intern</strong> to conduct traffic counts and other data collecion in the counties of<strong> La Crosse and Monroe WI.</strong></p>

<p>This is a great role for someone who is successful at working independently, communicating with the team effectively, and looking for an internship with a flexible schedule (Mon-Thurs, with Fridays being optional)</p>
<p> </p>
<p>MSA internships are typically at least 12 weeks in duration, ranging from mid-May 2027 to mid-August 2027, with start/exit dates confirmed later in the hiring process. Additionally, an internship at MSA provides you with a collaborative environment across the firm among the 40 interns each summer.</p>

<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<p><strong>Field Work/Construction Management</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Traffic counting, topographic survey, or other project data collection</li>
<li>Complete reports and documentation on traffic data collection</li>
<li>Construction field inspection/staking operations</li>
<li>Complete Inspector Daily Reports (IDR’s) and other DOT reports</li>
<li>Measure and compute item quantities installed on the project </li>
</ul>
<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<p>Pursuing either of the following degrees required:</p>
<ul>

<li>Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or related) with a transportation focus preferred</li>
<li>Associate’s degree in civil engineering technology (or related)</li>
</ul></li>
<li>Freshman or sophmore standing required </li>
<li>A valid driver’s license required</li>
<li>Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required</li>
<li>A desire to learn more about transportation engineering projects in a consulting industry</li>
<li>This position requires you to have authorization to work in the United States for any employer. We will not provide sponsorship for this position.</li>
