Since its inception in 1988, the restructuring group has advised on more than 1,900 restructuring transactions with aggregate debt claims in excess of $4 trillion. With nearly 300 dedicated restructuring professionals worldwide, our group has a significant global presence. Our broad base of clients and extensive experience allow us to understand the dynamics of each restructuring situation and the needs, attitudes, and positions of all parties in interest.&#xa;&#xa;<p><b><u>Responsibilities</u></b></p><p>The financial restructuring group is looking for an Off-Cycle Intern to join our Singapore office.</p><p></p><p>Restructuring Off-Cycle Interns work specifically with the group, assisting with a variety of transactions, including creditor- and debtor-side restructurings and distressed M&A. The group offers a unique opportunity for Off-Cycle Interns to work on projects that provide exposure to various financial advisory and investment banking products and industries. These services include:</p><ul><li>Advising companies and stakeholders in out-of-court and in-court restructurings</li><li>Raising debt and equity financings</li><li>Providing distressed M&A advisory services</li><li>Advising in special situations with elements of distressed investing</li><li>Participating in complex negotiations on behalf of our client</li></ul><p></p><p>Off-Cycle Interns are typically members of deal teams comprising at least one managing director, vice president, associate and financial analyst.</p><p></p><p><b><u>Requirements/Qualifications</u></b></p><p></p><p>The environment at Houlihan Lokey is results-driven and entrepreneurial and, as such, rewards top performers with substantial responsibility and interaction with senior-level professionals and clients.</p><p></p><p>The following qualifications are required:</p><ul><li>Strong academic track record and hold or be on track for a 2:1 degree in accounting, economics and/or finance</li><li>Top academic performer and a quick learner capable of performing in an unstructured environment</li><li>A demonstrated interest in restructuring</li><li>Prior investment banking internship experience (M&A or an industry team), leverage finance or restructuring is desirable, but not essential</li><li>Thorough understanding of valuation theory, methodologies and applications</li><li>Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills</li><li>Strong LBO and DCF modelling skills</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English</li><li>Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment</li><li>An exceptional strong work ethic</li><li>The candidate must have the right to work within country</li></ul><p></p><p>The candidate must be motivated and have the ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing, demanding, but ultimately rewarding environment.</p>&#xa;&#xa;<p style="text-align:left"><i><b>We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.</b></i></p>&#xa;&#xa;#LI-112682
