<p><strong>Your mandate as a Mechanical Engineer:</strong></p>
<p>The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the independent design, development, and optimization of transformers and related components. As a fully competent engineer, the Design role involves applying well-established expertise to complete tasks and projects with minimal supervision. This role includes collaboration with cross-functional teams and occasional mentoring of less experienced engineers. The Design Engineer contributes to product performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction while ensuring compliance with industry standards.</p>
<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<p><strong>Energize your day by contributing to the following responsibilities:</strong></p>

<li> Independently design and develop transformers and related components, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, CSA) and customer specifications.</li>
<li> Conduct engineering analyses to optimize product performance, cost, and efficiency.</li>
<li> Perform detailed failure analysis on design-related issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to improve product quality and reliability.</li>
<li> Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, supply chain, sales, and customer service to ensure successful integration of designs into production.</li>
<li> Participate in design reviews to provide technical input and ensure that designs meet project and customer requirements.</li>
<li> Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.</li>
<li> Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure product designs remain competitive and compliant.</li>
<li> Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, promoting innovation and efficiency in the design process.</li>
<li> Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance as needed, though leadership is not a primary focus of this role.</li>

<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<p><strong>We are looking for:</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li> Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.</li>
<li> More than 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on transformer or related product design.</li>
<li> Proficiency with design and analysis tools, including mechanical and thermal analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, FEA).</li>
<li> Ability to interact with, maintain, and update ERP system data related to engineering processes.</li>
<li> Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, CSA) and regulatory requirements (e.g. DOE) for transformers and related components.</li>
<li> Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.</li>
<li> Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working in cross-functional teams.</li>
<li> Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.</li>
<li> Experience conducting failure analysis and implementing corrective actions for design-related issues.</li>

<p>The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000.</p>
