Teaches activity classes and a second assignment within the Athletic Department is required.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"> </p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><ul><li><p><span>Recruits qualified student athletics according to TU Admissions Office guidelines.</span></p></li><li><p><span>A</span><span>ssists, in cooperation with the Head Men’s Soccer Coach, all aspects of coaching and administering a Division III Men’s Soccer program.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Helps manage expenditures within the budget.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Assists the Head Coach of the intercollegiate Division III Men’s Soccer.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Teaches activity classes.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Makes appropriate arrangements for travel to out of town contests.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Helps raise funds to supplement the budget.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Assumes position of second assignment in the Athletic Department as determined by the Athletic Director.</span></p></li></ul><div><p></p><p><b>ADDITIONAL DUTIES </b></p><ul><li><p><span>Abides by NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer rules and regulations.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Remains “on-call” for student-athletes needs 24/7, nights and weekends. Requires extensive travel and time during the regular season and during the recruiting season.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Performs other duties as required.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>EDUCATION </b></p><p><span>Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.</span></p><p></p><p><span>Preferred: Master's degree from an accredited institution.</span></p><p></p><p><b>EXPERIENCE </b></p><p><span>Required: Six months of college soccer coaching experience. <i>College and professional athlete experience counts toward required experience on a year-for-year basis.</i></span></p><p></p><p><span>Preferred: Three years of college coaching experience at the intercollegiate level and/or any equivalent combination of experience and training (educational courses, etc.) that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Prior experience with budget reconciliation is strongly preferred.</span></p><p></p><p><b>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES </b></p><p><span>Required:</span></p><p><span>Effectiveness in the recruitment of student athletes and the instructional aspects of coaching.</span></p><p><span>NCAA rules (General & Division III).</span></p><p><span>Coaching, recruiting, scouting, and scheduling. </span></p><p><span>Budgeting, fundraising, and travel planning.</span></p><p><span>Management, leadership, and teaching.</span></p><p><span>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. </span></p><p><span>Detail-oriented and well organized.</span></p><p><span>Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and database creation and maintenance is essential. Strict confidentiality of sensitive information. </span></p><p><span>Critical thinking skills, adaptability, and initiative.</span></p><p></p><p><b>LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS </b></p><p><span>Required: Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and have a good driving history. May not have more than two moving violations in a three-year period.</span></p><p></p><p><b>OTHER REQUIREMENTS</b></p><p><span>All jobs require a current Criminal Background Check (CBC).</span></p><p><span>This job requires at least 60-80 hours a week minimum during the entire school year.</span></p><p><span>Must be willing to work long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.</span></p><p></p></div>
