We identify opportunities, develop strategies, and lead cross-functional programs that enable operational excellence and unlock future growth.<br /> </p><p><b>Position Overview</b></p><p>As a <b>Lead Program Manager </b>on the Operations Strategy team, you will lead enterprise initiatives that improve the effectiveness, scalability, and resilience of Target’s operations. You will partner with senior leaders across Operations, Supply Chain, Stores, Properties, Product, Technology, Finance, and other enterprise functions to define strategic priorities, shape operating models, align enterprise stakeholders, and drive execution that delivers measurable business outcomes.</p><p>This role balances strategic thinking with disciplined execution. You will identify opportunities to improve how the business operates, align diverse stakeholders around shared outcomes, and lead complex work that transforms strategy into scalable capabilities. Success requires strong business acumen, systems thinking, influence without authority, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while driving results.</p><p><br /><b>Core Responsibilities</b></p><p><b>Strategy & Operational Outcomes</b></p><ul><li><p>Shape enterprise strategies and capability roadmaps that improve operational performance across the supply chain and store networks, enable long-term business priorities, and position Target to respond to evolving business needs.</p></li><li><p>Identify opportunities to improve enterprise capabilities across people, process, technology, and operating models.</p></li><li><p>Partner with senior leaders to evaluate business opportunities, define strategic priorities, establish success metrics, and inform enterprise investment decisions.</p></li><li><p>Translate strategic objectives into scalable initiatives and execution plans.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Enterprise Execution</b></p><ul><li><p>Lead execution of complex cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple business areas.</p></li><li><p>Establish governance, milestones, decision forums, risks, dependencies, and success measures.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate across Supply Chain, Stores, Properties, Product, Technology, Finance, HR, and other enterprise partners.</p></li><li><p>Drive execution and accountability to achieve measurable business outcomes.</p></li><li><p>Lead organizational adoption by anticipating change impacts, aligning stakeholders, and enabling successful implementation.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Operational Strategy & Continuous Improvement</b></p><ul><li><p>Evaluate operational performance and emerging business needs using data, operational insights, guest insights, and market trends to identify opportunities for future capability development.</p></li><li><p>Develop repeatable frameworks and operating models that improve enterprise effectiveness.</p></li><li><p>Lead structured problem solving for complex operational challenges.</p></li><li><p>Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and scale operational capabilities.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Influence & Organizational Leadership</b></p><ul><li><p>Build trusted partnerships with leaders across the enterprise.</p></li><li><p>Develop decision frameworks and executive recommendations that influence enterprise strategy, prioritization, and operating model decisions.</p></li><li><p>Align stakeholders with competing priorities and shared outcomes.</p></li><li><p>Communicate effectively with executive leaders, providing clear recommendations, risks, and tradeoffs.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Enterprise Thinking & Capability Development</b></p><ul><li><p>Develop a deep understanding of the relationship between Supply Chain, Stores, Properties, Product, Technology, and Finance.</p></li><li><p>Identify systemic constraints, capability gaps, and cross-functional opportunities that impact business performance.</p></li><li><p>Ensure strategies and solutions balance enterprise objectives with functional priorities.</p></li><li><p>Shape future state operating models and enterprise capabilities that improve agility, effectiveness, scalability, and business performance.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Core responsibilities of this job are described within this job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.</p><p></p><p><b>About You</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.</p></li><li><p>5+ years of experience leading complex programs, strategic initiatives, or business transformation efforts. Operations experience in supply chain or stores is preferred.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional programs or enterprise initiatives.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated ability to influence strategic direction and translate strategy into execution.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated ability to frame ambiguous business problems, develop strategic recommendations, and lead cross-functional teams through implementation.</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.</p></li><li><p>Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills.</p></li><li><p>Experience developing business cases, roadmaps, governance processes, and performance metrics.</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to influence decisions without direct authority.</p></li><li><p>Ability to operate independently in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
