Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this individual will oversee the month-end close, work-in-process reporting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and project-related accounting activities.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>This is a highly visible leadership role that will partner closely with divisional executives and operational leaders. We are looking for a proactive finance leader who anticipates business needs, identifies emerging risks and opportunities, and provides the financial insight necessary to support sound decision-making, profitable growth, and operational discipline.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Lead the division’s finance and accounting operations while managing and developing the construction finance team.</li> <li>Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and intercompany accounts.</li> <li>Manage project accounting activities, including payables, receivables, billings, collections, and cash-flow monitoring.</li> <li>Lead the preparation and review of work-in-process reports, project projections, cost-to-complete forecasts, and profitability analyses.</li> <li>Participate in WIP and project-review meetings, providing actionable financial guidance to project and operational leaders.</li> <li>Own the division’s budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and management-reporting processes.</li> <li>Serve as a strategic financial partner to divisional executives by identifying trends, risks, and opportunities and recommending appropriate actions.</li> <li>Prepare financial analyses, business-review materials, and executive-level reporting to support decision-making and strategic planning.</li> <li>Coordinate financial and compliance information required by the parent company, external auditors, insurance providers, and legal partners.</li> <li>Strengthen financial controls and improve processes related to closing, reporting, project accounting, billing, collections, and forecasting.</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.</li> <li>10-15 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.</li> <li>Previous experience as a Senior Finance Manager or in a comparable financial leadership role within a small to midsized construction company.</li> <li>Deep knowledge of construction accounting, GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, financial-statement preparation, and work-in-process reporting.</li> <li>Strong understanding of construction operations, project financials, and cost-to-complete management.</li> <li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.</li> <li>Experience with Procore and/or CMiC is preferred.</li> <li>Public accounting experience is a plus.</li> </ul> <h2>EEO Information</h2> <p>First Finish prohibits discrimination against any staff member or applicant on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation,&nbsp;gender identity/expression, age, religion, national origin, marital status, veteran status, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, genetic information, disability, creed, citizenship status, or any other legally protected characteristic.</p> <h2>Salary Range Information</h2> <p><strong>Maryland Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000.&nbsp; </strong>Placement within the listed range depends on many factors including, but not limited to years of experience, project size capability (for Construction &amp; Field roles) and internal company equity.</p>
