<p style="text-align:left"><b>Job Family Group:</b></p>Staff<p style="text-align:left">Department/Office:</p>Assistant Director for Buildings &amp; Grounds<p style="text-align:left">Time Type:</p>Full time<p style="text-align:left">Compensation:</p>$25.40-$31.75<p style="text-align:left"><i>Please note, starting salaries are based on factors including internal equity, relevant experience, and education.</i></p><p style="text-align:left">Exemption Status:</p>Non-Exempt<p style="text-align:left"><b>Job Description: </b></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>Performs HVAC mechanical/electrical duties at the factory trained level of proficiency on chilled water systems, commercial VRF systems and secondary HVAC air and water systems.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"> </p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b><b>EDUCATION </b></b></p><p><span>Required:</span></p><p><span>High School Diploma or GED.</span></p><p><span>Preferred:</span></p><p><span>Formal OJT or Apprentice Program.</span></p><p><span>Completion of a two-year vocational training program or apprenticeship training program in related HVAC field.</span></p><p></p><p><b><b>EXPERIENCE </b></b></p><p><span>Required:</span></p><p><span>Five years of journey level experience in a VRF mechanical and electrical field.  </span></p><p><span>Factory certified training from VRF manufacturer.</span></p><p><span>Preferred:</span></p><p><span>Five years of experience in commercial HVAC mechanical and electrical field.</span></p><p></p><p><b><b>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES </b></b></p><p><span>Required:</span></p><p><span>Proficient with commercial DX systems, central plant equipment, and secondary HVAC air and water systems, pumps, heat exchangers.</span></p><p><span>Preferred:</span></p><p><span>Ability to handle multiple priorities.</span></p><p></p><p><b><b>LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS </b></b></p><p><span>Required:</span></p><p><span>Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and have a good driving history.  May not have more than two moving violations in a three-year period.</span></p><p><span>Type III certification for refrigerant recovery/recycling as established by the EPA.</span></p><p><span>Preferred:</span></p><p><span>University certification.</span></p>
