<p><b>Expert Systems Engineer</b></p><p></p><p><b>Location:</b> Remote – USA<br /><b>Travel:</b> Up to 20%</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Manage, monitor, maintain, and support infrastructure and application environments.</li><li>Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware, software, operating systems, databases, and applications.</li><li>Partner with Operations on patches, updates, antivirus, maintenance, and system health.</li><li>Monitor system performance, conduct health checks, and support capacity planning and optimization.</li><li>Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement solutions to prevent reoccurrence.</li><li>Ensure technical deliverables meet quality standards and required peer/stakeholder reviews are completed.</li><li>Own assigned projects and tasks, communicate progress and risks, and proactively escalate scope or schedule concerns.</li><li>Serve as a primary technical resource in project meetings and drive technical initiatives to successful completion.</li><li>Work directly with clients and internal stakeholders, including presenting technical information to groups and executive-level audiences.</li><li>Standardize and automate processes and monitoring using scripting and automation technologies.</li><li>Follow change management procedures and maintain technical and system design documentation.</li><li>Document issues and resolutions and contribute to continuous process and technical improvement.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>5–7 years of relevant experience, including 2–3 years at a senior level or equivalent.</li><li>Strong experience with <b>SQL Server, Power BI, and Databricks</b>.</li><li>Experience supporting production infrastructure and troubleshooting complex technical issues.</li><li>Strong understanding of systems, databases, applications, monitoring, and performance management.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.</li><li>Comfortable working directly with clients and cross-functional teams.</li><li>Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.</li><li>Experience with scripting, automation, technical documentation, and change management.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Healthcare technology or hospital IT experience.</li><li>Development experience with <b>.NET and REST APIs</b>.</li><li>Experience with <b>AppDynamics, LogicMonitor</b>, or other monitoring/observability platforms.</li><li>Experience with <b>OpenTelemetry</b>.</li><li>Cloud infrastructure or modern data platform experience.</li><li>Relevant certifications such as <b>GIAC, ITIL, or MCSE</b>.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Working Arrangements</b></p><ul><li>Standard work week or as defined by assignment requirements.</li><li>Primarily remote or office-based.</li><li>May require after-hours, on-call, and holiday support, particularly during month-, quarter-, and year-end periods. PTO may be limited during peak business periods.</li><li>Up to 20% travel may be required.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Physical Requirements</b></p><p></p><p><b>Regularly:</b> Sitting, standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, vision, and keyboard use.</p><p><b>Occasionally:</b> Climbing/balancing and stooping/kneeling/crawling.</p>
