<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<p>As an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following: </p>
<ul>
<li>Serve as the principal advisor to the Information System Owner</li>
<li>Review and develop Information Systems (IS) accreditation/certification support documentation.</li>
<li>Maintain RMF standards and Configuration Management</li>
<li>Perform STIGS / SCAP on the network, Self Inspections, and enforce remediation actions</li>
<li>Assess Vulnerability and Risk Management</li>
<li>Create and maintain system Assessment and Authorization policies.</li>
<li>Create, update, and monitor/maintain SOPs and plans including PO&AMs, Continuous Monitoring, SSPs, and Incident Responses</li>
<li>Perform audits (Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly) to identify vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures</li>
<li>Maintain IS security records and advise and prepare Co-Utilization Agreements</li>
<li>Track software and hardware End of Life (EOL) and End of Service Life (EOSL)</li>
<li>Provide security coordination and reviews on all system test plans</li>
<li>Attend system Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
<li>Active TS clearance with SAP eligibility.</li>
<li>Bachelors degree </li>
<li>8-10 years of relevant experience supporting DoD/IC security and Information Technology systems</li>
<li>Current DOD IAT Level III certification: e.g., CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, or GCIH</li>
<li>Experience with assessment tools such as ACAS, SCAP, and STIG Viewer</li>
<li>Adept at briefing executives and program IPT level leadership</li>
<li>Excellent communication and organizational skills</li>
<li>Possess an analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills</li>
<li>Current or prior Special Access Program experience a plus!</li>

<h2>Pay Transparency Statement</h2>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $133,000.00/Yr. - USD $165,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
